Orange Hotel Marketing advises and supports luxury and lifestyle hotels, nationally and internationally. We love to pro-actively guide the finest hotels through a highly dynamic environment and help them grow and thrive. Our motivated team delivers high-quality services and products, from brand stories, design and public relations, to digital markting, and website development. 



A New Position

As a result of the growth of the company, the founder (and current managing director) will be focussing on the company’s strategic opportunities for further growth, while expanding the senior leadership team. The Head of Operations will be a (new) key member of the senior leadership team and will take over the day-to-day operations of Orange Hotel Marketing and its sister labels (Hotel Creatives, The Orange Studio).



The Role

As Head of Operations you are an assertive leader and positive people manager, determined to get the best out of our highly motivated team. You ensure the right people, systems, processes ,and resources are in place to allow the agency to flourish. 



Responsibilities - Operations

  • Successful implementation and execution of the company’s business strategies 
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the organization 
  • Ensure adherence to key performance objectives to meet business and client expectations 
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures that will improve day-to-day operations
  • Prepare, control and evaluate budgets
  • Champion the work of the agency and create pride in the agency and its work



Responsibilities - Team Management

  • Setting the overall culture of the agency
  • Providing inspiring and stimulating leadership to allow the work, our team, and commercial creativity to flourish
  • Provide guidance for the personal and professional development of the team
  • Responsible and accountable for your own and others’ work, delegating effectively (i.e. differently to different levels of experience and people types) to balance a varied workload
  • Conduct regular meetings and brainstorm with the teams
  • Collaborate with the senior leadership team to build an environment of collective responsibility and accountability
  • Involved in recruitment and selection decisions



Requirements and skills

  • Proven experience as a head of operations or a similar leadership role
  • Excellent organizational and people skills 
  • Strong ethical leadership abilities to motivate and guide our teams to success
  • Able to sensitively manage multi-disciplinary teams
  • Prepared to share credit and shoulder difficulties
  • Able to solve the majority of operational problems and make effective and timely decisions based on the knowledge available
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Strong critical thinking & decision-making abilities
  • Have a strong eye for quality
  • Familiarity with common business processes, marketing, and human resources
  • EU citizen and fluent in English
  • Experience in a (marketing) agency or service business is a plus
  • Experience in the hotel industry is a plus
